Jung, The Red Book, Randomness and Bomomo

Continuing along the theme of creating your own Red Book, Bomomo is a program that generates essentially random images, though you can guide the process somewhat. This is not too different than some aspects of life.

One cannot even choose the colors in this program, but they do evolve and change all the time. Again, as in the other programs that have been reviewed, the limited options limit its applicability for thoroughly depicting inner processes — but imagine the possibilities if the program was created to facilitate such a project…

Clearly, this “random” image is a manifestation of the Mother archetype… Or is it the Child Archetype…. Hmm. Must be synchronistic… Perhaps computers are tapping into the Unconscious… Or, scarier yet, perhaps the Internet is the Unconscious.)
